What is Samsung Expert RAW?

Expert RAW is Samsung's advanced camera app for Galaxy phones (S and Z series, and some A models). It captures 12-bit to 16-bit RAW photos as DNG files, with manual control over focus, shutter, ISO and white balance — giving Galaxy shooters real editing latitude beyond the standard camera. Those DNG files are large and, being RAW, aren't ideal to share directly. Converting to JPG makes them compact and viewable everywhere.

📱 On your Galaxy: open this page in Chrome, tap "Open RAWSnap", and pick your Expert RAW file from Gallery or Files. All processing happens on your phone — nothing is uploaded.

Good to know about phone RAW

Galaxy Expert RAW DNGs include a high-quality embedded preview. Where full sensor development isn't possible in the browser, RAWSnap uses that full-resolution embedded image, so you always get a clean JPG to share.
